«The Father» y «Nomadland», entre las nominadas a los premios BAFTA del cine británico

«The Father», dirigida por Florian Zeller, y «Nomadland», de Chlóe Zhao, están entre las películas nominadas a los premios BAFTA del cine británico, en los que la cineasta china compite además en la categoría de mejor dirección, informó este martes la organización.

Las otras cintas que optan al galardón, que se entregará el próximo 11 de abril en una ceremonia televisada en el londinense Royal Albert Hall, son «The Mauritanian», «Promising Young Woman» y «The Trial of the Chicago 7».

Compiten por el premio a mejor actor, entre otros, Anthony Hopkins («The Father») y Riz Ahmed («Sound of Metal»), mientras que entre las nominadas a mejor actriz figuran Frances McDormand («Nomadland») y Bukky Bakray («Rocks»).
